the secure person does not
follow corrupt advice
or linger on the wayward road
or settle down with those who twist words
no—that person delights in God’s direction
murmuring it, day and night
that person is like a tree
planted by furrows of water
it yields its fruit on time
its leaves do not wither
everything it makes thrives
not so the corrupt
they are like wind-chased chaff
they cannot stand before justice
the wayward cannot rise when the righteous gather
for God tends the righteous way
but the corrupt way is lost
